Free website checker

Check your website.
Free, in about 10 seconds.

Enter your website address. The checker loads your homepage and scores 14 things that affect whether customers find and call you: tap-to-call, mobile setup, speed, what Google can read, and whether it looks current.

Free. No email, no sign-up. The checker doesn’t save the address you enter.

What it checks

Fourteen checks.
Four questions.

Each check comes from what customers do on a phone and from Google’s own guidance. The score is out of 100.

Can customers reach you? 35 points

  • Tap-to-call link. On a phone, a number that isn’t a link has to be copied or remembered before anyone can call you.
  • Phone number on the page, the same one as on your Google profile.
  • A way to book or send a message when you can’t pick up: a short form or an online booking link.
  • Directions or a map link, or your service area if you go to your customers.

Does it work on phones? 25 points

  • Set up for phones. Without the mobile viewport setting, phones show a tiny desktop page.
  • Server response time. How long your server takes to start answering. Google’s web.dev guide suggests 0.8 seconds or less.
  • Page size. Heavy pages and lots of scripts are slow on a weak signal.

Can Google understand it? 25 points

  • Page title and search description, the blue link and the text under it in Google. Google’s title guidance.
  • One main headline that says what you do.
  • Business details for Google (LocalBusiness structured data): name, address, phone and hours in a form Google reads. Google’s documentation.
  • Allowed in Google. A “noindex” setting keeps a page out of search results entirely. It’s often left on by accident in site builders.

Does it look current and safe? 15 points

  • Secure connection (https). Browsers such as Chrome label pages without it “Not secure”.
  • An up-to-date footer. A copyright year from several years ago makes people wonder whether you’re still open.
Questions

About the checker.
Plain answers.

Is it really free?
Yes. There’s no email, sign-up or payment. I built it for local business owners who want a quick, honest look at their website. If you’d like help afterwards, you can ask for a free homepage sample, but you don’t have to.
What happens to the address I enter?
The checker loads that one page from our server, scores it and shows you the result. It doesn’t save the address or the result. Like every page on this site, this page uses the analytics described in the privacy and analytics panel.
Why is my score different from Google PageSpeed Insights?
They measure different things. PageSpeed Insights runs a full lab test of loading speed. This checker looks at whether a customer can reach you and whether Google can read your business details, plus two simple speed signals. For a detailed speed test, use PageSpeed Insights too.
It says something is missing, but my site has it.
The checker reads your homepage only, and some sites load their content with scripts after the page opens, which an automated check can’t always see. If your contact form is on another page, that’s fine, but consider adding a short one or a booking button to the homepage too.
My site is on Wix, Squarespace or GoDaddy. Can I fix these myself?
Usually, yes. Titles, descriptions, phone links and the footer year are settings or text you can edit in any builder. Speed and structured data are harder in some builders. If you’d rather not, I can design a new homepage for you to look at first, for free.
I don’t have a website yet. What now?
Send me your Google listing instead and I’ll design a homepage sample from what it shows. Request a free homepage sample.
